#LeMondeDeClovis

On the occasion of the exhibition "The World of Clovis", the National Archaeology Museum is inventing a new way of visiting the museum, at the crossroads of books "where you are the hero", role-playing games and video games. Through a fun and immersive journey, the exhibition invites visitors of all ages, alone, with family or friends, to dive into the world of the early Middle Ages.

During a visit, go back in time and slip into the shoes of a character from the Merovingian period and build your own "life path" by following the Web App. Choose your character among the four proposed and discover what fate has in store for you. The exhibition will offer you multiple paths, several alternative endings and a great deal of freedom of choice, so that you can be the actor of your visit and the hero of your story!

Discovering our four heroes

Andarchius
Andarchius, the energetic

Andarchius was born in the small Gallo-Roman peasantry, like most of the inhabitants of the kingdom of the Franks. He compensates this modest origin by a great audacity. Will he be able to live up to his ambitions?
Batilde
Bathilde, the skillful

Bathilde belongs to a family of slaves of Anglo-Saxon origin settled in Gaul, near Amiens. Although of very modest origin, she is intelligent and has ambition: one day, she will launch fashions and the most important women of the frank world will wear her creations.

Genevieve
Geneviève, the courageous

Geneviève belongs to the small Syrian community in Paris. Her parents came from the Roman East and the family specialized in the trade of exotic products. Courageous and diplomatic, Geneviève sought to carve out a place for herself in the Frankish world.
Medard
Médard, the intelligent

Médard, from a noble Frankish family, is ready to leave his parents' property to go on an expedition. Well-read and a fine strategist, he wishes to follow in his father's footsteps and become a renowned warrior in his turn.

A true interactive educational tool, "The World of Clovis: the exhibition in which you are the hero" aims to transmit notions of history and archaeology through games and to give a sensitive account of certain realities of Frankish society by approaching archaeological news in a spirit accessible to all.
